For many people, for women, children and men, the world is ending every day. What is to take place on May 21, where the righteous will be taken up and taken away and those left behind will be begging for death, is for many their every day reality.
For so many, it always feels like Jesus is wrestling with the devil right on their doorsteps. It always seems that death would be a better option than the hell that is their life. Famine, natural disasters, bombs, murder, a loss of life in every way except death. And for them, the many throughout the world, there is no voice of comfort reaching out to them; only more of the same disaster day after day.
So when we all wake up tomorrow, and again the next day, and discover that the world is indeed still turning on its axis and that the disasters throughout the world are just of the every day variety, let’s all of us, righteous or otherwise, use our relief for good and reach out to those who’s life is always hell on earth.
